I was born on the west coast of Canada and have lived throughout BC and Alberta. Although I haven’t made it to all our provinces and territories, I’m getting close!  Some things that I love the most about Canada are our friendly people – an accepting and welcoming population who are lucky enough to have four distinct seasons and a breathtaking landscape from sea to sea to sea.

Canada published its first stamp – the  Three penny beaver in April of 1851.  Also in that year came our most valuable stamp, the 12d Black Queen Elizabeth.  This stamp has sold in the neighborhood of $300,000 (wow!).  My collection of Canadian stamps is far from complete but it is pretty good.  Once I get closer to actually making the “need to collect” list I will share it with you.  For now, here are a few photos.
